It's all going to depend how much weight is in your bed. My deaver +2's have not settled more than half an inch, if that.

Maybe a stupid thought but figure I would see. If you guys install your springs and torque the shit out of the shackle set the truck down measure then drive for a while (work the shackle loose) the spring and shackle then settle to its natural state then it would come out to a different measurement is that what some of u guys r experiencing?
Or is your initial measurement after a few miles allowing the suspension to articulate and work it's self in

Torque the bolts to spec, not torque the shit out if them. Even the stock springs settle

43" passenger now. 42.5" driver. So 2.5" lower than started out at drivers side and 2" passenger. Truck was low on fuel on purpose for install. About 1/4 tank.

Latest measurement was on concrete drive and verified in garage.

All measurements were without load of off road gear.

So did the springs settle 2.5" from install to after ARDD? This means you are below stock hight.

One thought I had was when did you take your initial measurements? Was it immediately after the truck was down of the jacks? Or after an initial drive or moving of the truck? The truck will sit high until it's moved and the suspension moved to its normal operating position.

A lot of spring settling as others have said is do to how much weight you typically run in the bed, as well as the type of daily use and abuse you put the truck through. As with any spring, the more it cycles the greater the chance of them losing some height. Typically with the Deavers you will notice about 3/4" to 1" of settling so keep that in mind when choosing spring heights from the start.

Let us know if you need any help if you haven't pulled the trigger on them already, and if you have, still swing by the shop sometime. We are just over the hill from you in Corona.

@svc Thanks Jarrett! I actually did end up pulling the trigger and getting the Deavers directly through Deavers themselves since they are so close. I had them throw on a drop shackle along with the springs. I wasn't happy with the ride with the shackles (which they had warned me could happen). They threw on some shims for me too but still the ride wasn't what it should be. Right now I actually am on a road trip for the weekend and intentionally put some extra weight in the bed (with the stock shackles) to try to speed along the settling process. I'm hoping that it'll take close to an inch out of the height. I really like the truck being as level as possible on mid perch.

I would like to stop by the shop sometime. I have been seeing and reading great things about you guys' tune and would be interested in that among other things.

Thanks for the reply,

Cory

Sounds good. Jeff and Scott at Deaver are really nice guys and will always take care of you.

Enjoy the rest of the road trip.
