I would just put a strip of vinyl in the gaps. really easy.

You will have to slide your bed back to get the gap between the bed and the cab. You MAY be able to shove a strip back there too if you have really tiny hands.

Buy some vinyl and put it on the truck to test... you will love it.

By the way, 3M has come out with Matte Metal Vinyl now... looks sweet.

This is an awesome write up and you just inspired me to do this to my truck.nthe local shops wanted to charge me $5000 to do it so I strayed away. After reading your write up I am quite sure I can do this. My only concern is my truck is blue but I love the matte grey inn the pic ADD posted. Any recommendations for the door jambs anyone?

I looked on the website that you listed for the vinyl and I guess the prices have gone up slightly. I'm going to check out that new matte metal that you were talking about. As far as the door jambs I think I can figure out a way to do them. I have no problems sliding the bed back to get behind the cab. Thanks for all the advice.

I have no doubt you can do it and if you need any more help, you can always ask.

I checked out the site and it is still the same price I got it for... You need to use the dropdown menu under Approximate Vehicle size.... there is a 65 foot roll for $554.99

good luck

Another update....
The worst area was on the back of the cab that curves around in behind the bed. I think the only way someone can do this is by removing the bed. It is just impossible to get your hands back there to pull the wrap around. I did NOT remove the bed and I am thinking will be putting a patch in there. You can see in a picture below. After I took this picture, I did cut out all the wrinkles so it looks really good now... just needs the patch to not see the gloss black.

I am going to update the first post with lengths of wrap I used for each section too.

I just need to finish the drivers side, rear quarter, doors and molding and roof.

You need child labor! Kid hands should be able to get those corners (just dont get them stuck!).

Option B is to bend the frame after you wrap it, then you wont see it.

I had an overlap on the roof. The roof was one sheet and the door sides were one. So there was an overlap in the "rain gutter" on top of the roof. It is where they welded the roof and sides together so i was rough anyway. You never see it.

It is great. Just getting through my first winter with salt and slush. Great thing is that I can run it through the cheapest carwash (ones without wax) and it comes out looking like new.

I would definitely do it again on another vehicle.

Great job and thank you for the walk thru... your truck looks great... How is the wrap holding up?
