Fenders

Hey!
you did an excellent job and inspired me to wrap my fenders. What parts/tools do you think I need to get the fenders and Ford emblem done?
Thank you!

None of the primers or solvents would be needed?

I only used primer on a couple spots. The lower fascia was a big one. Lots of stretching. I used the sealant a lot more, especially around the wheel wells or any area that would come in contact with a lot of water, dirt, mud, etc.

I don't think the prep solvent is necessary. Just make sure the surface is extremely clean.

So the sealant would probably be good to get for the fenders? What shape did you start with for the fenders? Do I need the 20'?

I'd get some just to have it. It has it's uses.

Are you trying to do the entire quarter panel or just the flares?

I ordered exactly what the OP suggested. I still have to finish the cab but so far the measurements are accurate.

I'm just doing the flares. Black truck so I want black flares.

I laid them flat on the vinyl and cut it out around the flare. This allows you to put the next flare in closer reducing waste. Kind of like an s pattern.

I will say if I didn't have mud flaps I probably would've painted the flares. I couldn't find a way to eliminate excess vinyl from bundling up. You could make a cut and overlap it. Wouldn't be as noticeable if done from the underside. Ultimately I bunched it up under the flare so you can't see it.

I'm not a pro so I'm not sure how they eliminate the excess.
