This speaker change out does not effect the noise canceling in the truck right?

Did the full speaker change in my 2018 B&O. Sounds great!!! I have an extra Pioneer dash speaker for sale. Had to buy a pair. $25 shipped if anyone needs one.

THIS is what I came here looking for. I've got the 2018 B&O and I'm not that impressed at all. So you think it's a worthwhile and noticeable upgrade? I'm no audiophile, but I had a factory JBL system in my Tacoma and it was lightyears better than this B&O system.

YES!! The stock speakers are crap. The bass is non existent. Add a sub amp and change em out. Easy job, you won't be sorry.

The speakers are the weak link in the system, for sure...cheap paper FoMoCo crap. B&O did the amp and dsp/tuning, and possibly the sub (it's different than the Sony in '17). Read through this thread...there are some issues you want to be aware of and/or avoid, such as issues with the impedance of center channel replacement speaker, or if you even really want to replace it or just remove/disconnect it.

Having replaced all the speakers in my 2018 with JBL Stadium series (except the center which I left alone), I am pleased. But, if I were to do it over again, I probably would do component 6x9s in the front instead of 3ways. That's how the system was designed. There are some tricks with the B&O sub, like wrapping it. It's enough for me, but there some good alternatives in this thread/on this page that won't break the bank.

It is frustrating to think what the B&O system could have been with speakers from the vast Harmon arsenal instead of what we got. Good luck.

Thanks for the nudge. I really wanted to make sure that the change over for the 2018 is still worth it. I started ordering all the pieces this morning starting with a single center channel speaker I picked up of ebay for a great deal... :)
Getting some of the pieces from ebay and some from amazon. Should have most everything by later next week to get started.

Thanks. After reading through the thread I'm going for it. I actually don't mind more voice up front/center so I'm still going to upgrade the center channel. We'll see ho it goes. I'm going to stick with the Pioneer speakers and go with a kicker sub.

At this point the one question I have is which tweeters to go with. Hard done tweeter or soft dome tweeter? Scratching my head on this one and both have good reviews.

Pioneer TS-T110 7/8-Inch Hard-Dome Tweeter

I haven't decided if I'll change the tweeters. I'll decide after Dynamating the doors and changing out those speakers. If I go for tweeters, it will be these.

Generally, a soft-dome tweeter is a little more smooth/less harsh. Given the direct-firing placement in our trucks, I'd lean that way, unless you like a really bright/strong tweeter sound.
