First and foremost, I understood it was lemoned before I bought it but looking on the Carfax showed minimal information and when I called a dealership to see what information I could get, I was told it had the "short block replaced" 60k miles ago. After talking it over with a trusted mechanic, he said that it's probably safe since it was lemoned so many miles ago, and reading the lemon threads here helped alleviate my fears. The truck had everything I wanted and more and at $33k out the door with 73k miles, I couldn't say no. Fast forward to today I decided to try and get the Oasis report from my local dealership and they just handed what I assume is it with no problem. So for your reading enjoyment, here's the deets.

CONCERN WAS CAUSED BY LOW OIL. RECOMMEND CUSTOMER TO CHECK OIL MORE OFTEN OR TO BRING VEHICLE BACK IN 1000MI FOR US TO CHECK OIL LEVEL AND RECORD LEVEL FOR POSSIBLE OIL CONSUMPTION ISSUE. ONLY OTHER POSSIBLE CAUSE IS OIL LEVEL WAS NOT CHECKED BY SELLING DEALER.

That’s a great deal for a lemon truck, did you by any chance get it from Capital Ford?

Thanks for sharing OAIS report, I enjoy reading the shop logic.

Smokin deal dude!

Seems pretty solid since it all had been replaced/fixed
I'm very happy with it so far, though I'm admittedly still in the honeymoon phase. Has every option except for heated steering wheel, moon roof, and recaro seats. I've got the original window sticker and it was originally a $76k truck!

That’s an odd duck to not have on an otherwise loaded truck! I remember shopping in late ’16, most of the ones I found had heated steering wheel and heated rear seats and I thought to myself - I can just warm up the truck, I’ll --never-- use that.

The first 15F day when I got in to drive, I had to admit to myself I was wr... wrr...
well... maybe I underestimated the heated steering wheel.

Of course, heated steering wheel is a workaround. The permanent fix is to move to a locale with a climate that humans were meant to live in :p

I'm a Midwest boy at heart, born and raised in Iowa. I'm currently on a work trip to Phoenix and they keep offering me jobs down here, but you can't pay me enough to move.

Seems like a killer deal you got--- I took a similar chance on buying high mileage and 21K later my engine crapped out.... did without the truck sitting at the dealer for over 3 months but when all was said and done I now have a brand new engine--- Truck just hit my 5K oil change and all is doing really well so far ! I am blessed by GOD in soooooo many ways and I thank him for making a way--- my extended coverage I bought when I purchased the truck paid for the engine ---- praise GOD !
