The center console dims with the dash-dimmer buttons (next to headlight switch) as well, but it doesn't survive a restart. Next night you gotta bump the dimmer down button again and then it will follow wherever you dim the rest of the dash to.

I believe this is a sync bug, I used to have the same issue, but upgrading to sync 3.4 i’ve not seen this since the upgrade.

Great idea! It will probably do exactly what I mentioned above without the requirement to turn off the headlights and then back on. I hate when I start driving and realize it too late. People probably think I'm weird turning off my lights in the dark.....haha.

I'm going to get a small piece of window tint, with just some light shading and see if that helps. I, too, find the screen obnoxiously bright even when instruments are dimmed beyond where I like the light level.
