I love these tires. Just got a full set on my grand Cherokee and the traction on them is insane. I was very surprised to say the least! And they are winter rated as well while still providing 60k mile warranty. And smooth on the pavement for what they are. Probably will get these for the rappy when it’s time. Anyone have a pic of them on a raptor?

How are the sidewalls? Are they 3 ply like the BFG's?

Offroading, the sidewall strength is very important.

It's very confusing. Discount Tire Direct lists a load range C 315/70/17 AT3, but it shows Out Of Stock, Call For ETA. I've been watching the DTD site for 6 months and they've been out of stock that whole time. I don't believe they ever had them in stock. I emailed DTD and Toyo and got the runaround from both.
Toyos website doesn't even list a load range C 315/70/17 AT3. They list it in a load range D. I looked on ebay and saw some load range D's for sale. Discount Tire Direct only shows it in a load range C, but they've never had any. View attachment 156517

The D rated BFG 315/70/17 were discontinued a while back.

The 35x12.50x17 are E rated, and 66.34 lbs

The 315/70/17 are C rated and 64.4 lbs BFG originally made the C rated at the request of Ford specifically for the Raptor according to the BFG

They have a 34x10.50x17 D rated but 2" narrower

The only tall D rated tire is the 37x12.50x17

I ran the 35x12.50x17 E rated KO2 on my 18 JL Rubicon and I ran them at a lower psi and they rode fine. The stock tires were BFG 285x70x17 C rated

The benefit of the E rated tires was when you aired them down to 8 psi you have a sidewall that is less prone to rock damage and its demonstrated by BFG, and there is a TON of Jeeps that run the 35x12.50x17 E because there is no other choice with the KO2 or KM3 in that size. The side wall on the KM3 is reinforced even more to resist damage

The 35x12.50x17 KM3 comes in at 74.2 lbs and I have also ran these on my Rubicon with no issues other then the louder tire noise, but a Jeep has zero sound deadening to it

AS Long they are purchased through an authorized BFG dealer. I bought a set from COSTCO and they denied the rebate 2 years ago. Now according to their site you can get the rebate

I sold the stock KO2s off my 2017 when they had 18K miles and about half tread. They were cupped and had gotten slightly louder, but not too bad. I just wanted new tires so I sold the KO2s while they still had some value.
I only have 8600 miles on the KO2s on my 2020. I'm not in any hurry to get new tires but I've got my short list narrowed down to 4 or 5 different tires for my next set.

What have you narrowed it down to? There is a Raptor in the next town running Nitto Terra Grappler 2 AT and instead of going 315/70/17 he went with the 35x12.50x17 because they were 5 pounds lighter and the have a deeper tread depth. He loves them and no issues in the rain

My 2nd set of KO2s appear to be holding up a lot better than the originals. Its as if BFG gave Ford all its rejects.

The quality of an OEM tire is never the same as a factory direct. It's like got to be marketing.

I always have Goodyear Duratracs on the list because I've yet to find a better all terrain in snow and I deal with that crap 6 months per year. I ran the load range D 315/70/17 Duratracs on my 2017 and have been running Duratracs on my Bronco for the last 7 years. They are lighter than the stock KO2. I wanted to go with something a little quieter but I haven't ruled them out.
The stock load range C KO2s are only $286 each at Tire Rack plus they have a rebate. They are pretty good and cheap so they made the list.
I recently found another load range C tire so I just added it to my list. 35x12.5x35 General Grabber X3 load range C. They are more of a mud tire and lighter than the stock KO2s. Their 315/70/17 is load range E so that's a no go.
Some of my favorite tires didn't make the list because they are only available in load range E and/or too heavy. Nitto Trail Grapplers, Ridge Grapplers, Falken Wildpeak AT3W, Cooper STT Pro, BF Goodrich KM3

I had a set of Duratracs on my Jeep XJ Cherokee and I loved them, your correct about being a great tire for the snow. They were rotated every 3500 mi and I put roughly 20k mi on them and when I sold the Jeep the buyer didn’t believe there was that many miles on them, proved it with the invoice. Maybe because it was a light vehicle?

I feel your frustration on finding a C rated tire, Ford had the C range BFG 315/70/17 specifically made for the Raptor.

They are 3 ply. So far my favorite tire. And The local Ford dealer had 20 in stock and they are offering a 70 dollar rebate right now on 4. So a set was only 900 installed for a full set of 20 inchers.
