Both, form and function. it will also allow you to run larger tires, so you may not have rubbing or have to cut anything. You may be able to 37" tires in there and pick up 02 additional inches of ground clearance.

I'm thinking a 2" lift in the front if your going to try 37's. Maybe RPG will make a 2" lift along with their 1.5" lift spacer.

Looking at the current pics of the Gen2, I would bet that 37's aren't going to fit without aftermarket fenders. It looks like they squeezed the opening together a little with this generation to make the 35's fit the truck more.

And it has been beaten to death in this forum - but don't put a lift kit on these trucks. It ruins what they are built for. Kinda like harnessing a million dollar race horse to an apple cart......

I don't have much experience with raptors, in all honesty, but when it comes to raising and leveling trucks, I have enough with my previous vehicles.

Yes, there are times that things get very misaligned when raising / leveling a vehicle. After they put these collars on, we went and looked at as many of the 'components issues' we could see possibly happenjng.
We didn't raise the tire size, lift this thing 3+ inches on both ends etc. Boots, rods etc, hardly moved any, if at all. So while your warning is accurate for extreme lifts, I think it is a little extreme for this little bit of a change.
Although that is just my opinion.

I'm planning on fitting 37s as soon as I take delivery.

Well good luck. You got fenders ordered? I'd love to fly out and help you pound all the new aluminum into place. I bet it's gonna be a lot easier than doing the same to the all steel Gen1's.....

Yeah yeah.. I'm gonna go out on a limb and claim 37s will be doable with zero trimming as long as you perch mod it first.
