Received the DeBerti tow hooks and installed this weekend. Couple of thoughts. Fit and finish is good, shipping was pretty quick and packaging was above and beyond. After I installed, I kind of thought they hung down a long ways compared to the pictures on DeBerti's website. After looking, they really can't be up much further or you wouldn't be able to get a hook on therm. I also kind of didn't like the open space around the hooks. I always kind of wondered why Ford had those big plastic/rubber sleeves around those stock hooks. Occurs to me after looking at it, they are trying to keep water, sand, ice, salt, whatever out of the end of those frame rails and away from the skid plate bolting stuff. (only my opinion). So, I cut the stock rubber/plastic things up a little and put the top back in to keep whatever out of the end of the frame rail (and it looks better). Wiggles a little but can't go anywhere. I'm pretty sure you could actually cut a slot in them and use the whole thing with these hooks so the bottom is closed off too. Maybe if I have occasion to take them off again I'll do that, they use salt on the roads here.
I like the way they look a lot, the angles match the front of the truck well, they look good in my opinion. Are they expensive? Yup, but so is a Raptor and pretty much every damn thing you buy for it. One thing, boy, don't raise up under the truck and bang your head on one of the damn things, they don't give much... Oh, watch your knees also, thy stick right out there. Pictures attached, form your own opinion.
