Installation is very easy for the tow hooks. Remove 6 bolts to drip the skid and then remove 2 bolts on each tow hook. Then replace tow hook with new hook, reinstall bolts on hooks, and then reinstall the skid. I'd give yourself 20 minutes to do the actual work. Tell the wife you'll be in the garage for an hour and have yourself a beer.

They are expensive for the sake of being expensive.

If you've watched their TV show, their products and skills remind me of the JDM market selling wings and stickers with little or no engineering or thought behind it. it's crappy bling.

Thanks, I searched but couldn’t find anything but some references to painting or wrapping the tow hooks. I think you might be correct, I ordered a set of the tow hooks, when they get here I’ll get some tools out and find out!

You may have seen my previous comment about painting my tow hooks. Like Nick explained, it's VERY easy to remove the tow hooks, just a few bolts for the front skid plate and 2 bolts for each tow hook.

I was actually looking at the DeBerti tow hooks in black for my truck. I'd appreciate if you could post up some pics when you get them installed and let us know what you think!

I doubt they would test them themselves, they’re a relatively small family shop. I know the particulars though, I used to “make stuff”. CNC machined out of 1.25” 6061 billet, should be hella sturdy. Mild steel is slightly harder than 6061, but its ability to flex slightly under impact results in superior performance to the steel under impact loading. I wouldn’t be scared to use 6061 on much.

just get the damn things already and post pics. I like how they look but they are expensive. That said, that never stopped me before.
