I found an allocation in OK today. Guess I’m driving it back 800+ miles. These AZ dealers can suck it
I have a 37" and 35" build with an MN dealer, they were fine with me accepting one and rejecting the other as they should have no issue selling it. For a tax deduction, I'm going to try and find a Raptor in Lead Foot, Moonroof, 801A this December. I'll likley go on Autotrader and call every dealer that has one listed and see if I can get one close to MSRP but I know the chances of landing one before the end of the year is unlikely. On the two I ordered, my MN dealer said likely Q1 2022

Yeah I’m expecting feb-march. And I’m ok with that. Gives me a little more time to build my down payment

Thanks to this forum, I got my new ‘19 Raptor from Chris Volk at Klaben Ford (Kent, Ohio) at $5k *below* MSRP. I called him him last week, and he got me the last 2021 allocation at MSRP. Chris cited that Klaben won’t mark-up the Raptors… just like they did not for the Gen 2’s.

Give Chris a call (928-276-0722) to get on the list for their next allocation, or frankly stay in touch in case anyone balks on their order. Genuinely a great guy!

Good luck!
That's where I'm getting my Gen 3 37 for MSRP! MIKE UZL IS THE MAN THERE! Should be in any day now. NeoLeo, where do you live?

I have a question for everyone buying Raptors out of state. How are you handling the sales tax/registration process? Does it go based off your home state for sales tax or are you paying state where it is purchased?

Depends on state of residence and state of purchase.

Example, I’m in CA and in OH they collect sales tax and ask for the rate based upon the State and County you live in. CA has reciprocal agreements with some states, but not all when it comes to sales tax on a new vehicle purchase from an out-of-state dealer. With regards to registration, I do have to go to the local DMV office to submit registration paperwork and pay fees. Also, I do have to get a smog certificate completed as required by CA. A few extra steps, but well worth the savings involved!!!

I have also purchased vehicles from Denver, CO and St. Louis, MO, they did not collect sales tax at the time of purchase.

My order is local (MA), but last two vehicles were out of state (PA). I got temp tags from PA (no sales tax, registration, etc. to pay), and then got it registered on my own in MA where I had to pay sales tax, registration fees, etc.

MA residents buying out of state - be aware of a crazy law that doesn't allow residents to be driving around on temp tags from other states, so technically you can drive an out of state purchase into the state (has to be transported in, or you park out of state somewhere, get it registered and then go install MA plates and then drive it in). I didn't know about this with my first out of state purchase, just drove right in and luckily didn't get pulled over. Second purchase I knew better, so sold my old car to CarMax a day before I was picking up the new one out of State and took the plates from the old one with me. You have a grace period of 7 days from the sale of the old vehicle to get those plates registered under a new vehicle.

I'm sure other states don't have these crazy laws so out of state purchases are probably even easier.

So since your a CA resident did you have to pay sales tax at the time you registered every vehicle back in CA? Including the ones from CO, MO? I know CA charges sales tax on vehicles brought into the state within 1 year of purchase.

YES, they collect sales tax ALWAYS in CA!!!

So, since I’ve already paid at the time of purchase to the OH dealer, they report this to the CA DMV; and I will not have to pay sales tax.

When I registered the new-dealer-purchase vehicles from CO & MO as both of these states did not collect sales tax, CA DMV collected sales tax at the time of registrations based upon the purchase price.

I just sold my 2015 F150 to a buddy…he had to PAY sales tax on my used 6 year old vehicle when he transferred and registered it (I paid sales tax when I bought it new)…FRIGGIN DEATH & TAXES AND DOUBLE TAXATION!!!
