I’ve called numerous dealerships. Pulled strings. Prayed. Spoken to GMs and finance managers. Best I could find with a guaranteed allocation for a 37” 22 was $10k over MSRP. At least they provide free nitrogen and ‘hand applied’ fabric and leather sealant. I’ve thought seriously about GMCs 22 at4x BUT I just love my ‘18 raptor and, speaking frankly, I’m tempted to just pay the $10k. It’s a sellers market right now. The way i see it, I’ll make it up on my trade in. Sheesh.

Why not look for a 35”? I got mine for MSRP and immediately threw 37”s on it. There seems to be way more dealers willing to sell a 35” at MSRP.

Haven’t researched it extensively but it’s m guessing there’s way more to it than simply upsizing the tire size. Perhaps I should just stick with 35. I’m so back and forth. I think I’ll pass on their current offer and sleep on it. Certainly there will be other bad deals to be found.

I think it’s to the point that more is expected from brand loyalty from the dealers than customer loyalty by the dealers. They’re making a mistake imho.

Definitely sounds like it...
"Ordering the 37-inch tire package involves more than just slapping 37-inch tires on a truck built for 35s. There are actual from-the factory differences in the frame, and changing the tire size without those modifications could damage the truck. According to Ford, it will definitely void the warranty."

I inquired about a 21 Velocity Blue 801 with 35"s that was on my dealers lot figured it was already sold. SM stated the person that ordered it, their financing fell through. I offered $500 below MSRP and no deal. I've purchased 3 from them and have a Great relationship with the SM. They called me back the next day as a courtesy call just to see if still wanted it at MSRP and I said I'll pass. They already had another buyer waiting for me to step out of the way.

I know this sounds crazy, what's $500 on a $77,100 Raptor nothing....It's the principal of paying MSRP.

I'm in no hurry, so I'll just wait for the right timing, if it ever comes!

Would have thought the premium you would get on trading a 2020 would easily make up for $500 but understand standing by your principles. Think it’s funny though someone ordering a $77k vehicle couldn’t get financing.

There is a lot of misinformation out there or positioning. At the end of the day, 37s fit on 35s have been driven really hard and jumped to prove it. If you want to order factory 37s and blue leather seats for 8k more vs investing that money with people like SVC, RPG etc who could really improve the off-road performance of your truck, that is your call. The 37 package is a great package for many. I wouldn't say the trucks at the same money aren't equally capable because that is not true-I would def give the advantage to the 35 package with 8k, that said there are a lot of cheaper and more capable trucks that you can build out or modify to fulfill your desert dreams. BTW, the full-size spare fits but likely a bedack with two spares is a better call if you are that serious an off-roader.

All of that said, look at the Gen 2 and Gen 1 builds that have been done on this site with serious kits on them that are WAAAY more capable than any Gen 3 with the 37 package.
