Honestly, I'm not in your shoes and I don't know your coworker/relationship, but I would not wait for that. I would let that happen in parallel and go ahead and get the lawyer.
That's just me.
Good luck -- this is a crappy situation.

When I first saw this near the beginning of the thread, my reaction was that I'd hesitate to do something like this with a co-worker. If things go bad, it could create discomfort at the work place.I would have to agree. Unless you are REALLY good friends with this co-worker and he/she is in turn REALLY good friends with the owner where there is constant contact between all parties, it's likely not at all a priority for them. They'll get to it when they get to it if they remember to get to it.

How u know for sure they applied on the salt? I had my undercoating done too on my 2019 raptor and they also did the front arms and I told them to remove it and they did. Yes, they overspray few parts but goo gone did the trick and I was able to remove it my self. U said the undercoating was already removed so sounds like the problem was resolved. This is unnecessary headache. Take this truck off-roading (main purpose of this truck) and it will resolve the problem with scratches underneath... it’s underneath your truck so who cares. This thing cost you stress and unnecessary migraines. Don’t listen this guys: “get a lawyer..”,“sue every one...”, trust me. If we only had this problems to worried about. The truck is still great!!
I was thinking the same today. Friend means they can text.. hey bud you got some trouble brewing and might want to nip this in the bud before he lawyers up. Kinda know the guy means.... oh hey remember me I’m your cousins friend... we met at joe dirt’s wedding 5 years ago. Based on how long it’s taking I’m thinking your coworkers relationship is the latter.Considering it’s been like 2 weeks since OP said his coworker was gonna talk to the owner and no progress has been made I’m gonna go ahead and guess they arent very close. Hire a lawyer or deal with a destroyed truck.
