Yea, the Tacoma and 4Runner TRD Pros do really well. I am actually looking to get a Tacoma TRD Pro now that they finally added a 10 way power front seat lol—technology that is only 20 years old. If you pick up a TRD Pro below MSRP, then you will lose very little in a year or two of driving. But it should be noted, Toyota limits the production of the TRD Pro models. Something I wish Ford would had done with the Raptors.
Ya, but then you're driving a ****. I fell no satisfaction driving a Toyota truck whatsoever. It does nothing for me.

I'm looking for a preowned Tacoma for my kid... talk about holding value! At our budget, they all have 100k + miles too. Well loved and well used trucks.
The LAST thing I want to read on this forum (thus joining a ''Raptor'' forum) is to talk about Tacoma's . . .I'm just saying, not hating.

Just sharing my initial experiences looking for a ride for my kid. Not trying to distract from the forum, since I have a Raptor in my garage and its probably the best daily I've had.

Don't worry about it. This forum has referenced plenty of non-Raptor vehicles throughout the years. Tacomas got brought up because of how well they hold their value—not a big deal.

Average Manhiem Prices for 2017 Screws are 48-54, 2018 Screws 54-60, 2019 Screws 58-64k

There are some higher selling prices in Cali and Texas but those samples are small... the results do not show the options, lower prices are for trucks with high miles or have been wrecked/paint work.
So the alot of these sales can be from low optioned trucks, however based on other vehicles high dollar options do not equal higher resale.

Usually dealers will offer 2-3k less than Manheim prices, that way if they cant sell it on their lot they can dump at auction and still make money.

Once a vehicle passes 50k, initial depreciation is much greater... My wife had 2015 X5, MSRP was 71,900... had 32,000 miles when we traded it in 2017. Dealer gave us 36, they sold it for 39k.. clear car fax and no paint work.

If you want a low depreciation truck, buy a Tundra... its bland, not much fun but it had strong resale. As a former Tundra owner I can attest to that, but their quality isnt any better than Fords in my opinion.

Interesting info. Is that Manhiem info available to anyone on line? I poked around but couldn't figure out. Curious about Supercabs...
