Back when you could purchase a Diehard Platinum battery, they were among the best. Now that they’ve gone the way of the dinosaur the top of the line Interstate MTZ AGM is one of the best. I have one coming Thursday for my Viper, difficult to find the MTZ, however your local Valvoline oil change shop can order for you and have it in a few days. My MTZ-34 was $280, is much smaller than the Raptor battery but puts out 800 CCA and typically lasts way longer than their 4 year warranty. The Diehard Platinum it’s replacing lasted 10 year and lived on a battery tender. Good luck....

.

That's how I ended up with the X2, I always had the Die Hard AGM but now they are gone. That Interstate battery was my go to also until I found the X2 with 880 CCA, weighs 50 lbs and had the year extra on the warranty. They also have a rebate for it usually in January and you can get it for about $280 out the door. The interstate is a great choice also and I've heard great things about it lasting a long time.

Same thing happened to me about a month ago on my '19 with 2,400 miles on it. Drove it a few days before I got the message from Fordpass then I went to start it the following weekend and the truck was completely dead. Had it for about four months at that point. Got it to the dealership and it was only a few hours before I got a call saying it was good to go. The tech mentioned something about one of the cells going bad due to one of the lead plates "slipping" over one another and killed the cell (can't remember exactly what he said). They replaced the battery and haven't had an issue since.

Die Hard batteries will be available again towards the end of the year... maybe peace of mind for the future.

So what life have people gotten out of the factory battery? Im at 2years 5months from delivery. 2.6volts..

had to trick the charger with a jumppack to try to get it to start charging. Admittedly its been sitting alot, but my wife drove it for a couple days, then 2 days later I get the warning from the app and it went to sleep. Didn’t realize it was going into a coma.
Batteries go bad, I get it, ****** so fast. Just hoping there hasnt been electrical issues I need to check..

thanks
