Well it can't stay new forever. Those of you wishing for snow might want to think twice. Sitting at the bottom of a hill looking in my rear view mirror at the 94 toyota camry bald tired POS sliding down the hill. I looked for an escape an there was none to be found. Traffic stopped on the left of me, traffic crossing my path in front, and a giant pole on the right, no where to go brace for impact. I can see the look on this young, pregnant moms face as she makes contact and almost ends up in the cross traffic. Luckily she has good insurance - State Farm, I call their 800 number and explain what happened they take the police report and filed a claim plus gave me the contact phone number. Just bummed about my truck but certainly glad this young lady is okay. poor girl was shaking pretty bad so I tried to be a calming voice to her and checked her vehicle for leaking fluids and made sure she had a headlight left to get home on. My truck actually looks pretty good compared to her car. Shit

I WANT this to happen to me! It's a gift! Take the payout, buy a slick aftermarket upgrade, and have a happy day! :waytogo:

Glad everyone is OK.

I hear you Dane. I am just one of those people that kind of worry that sitting still in 4 wheel drive hit like that could do some residual damage that doesn't get found till later, you know like leaking shocks, driveshaft problems, etc. They don't always show up at first, ough my neck hurts and my back, just kidding I don't take that road. Doesn't show real well in the crappy pictures I took but the bumper got the side panel pretty good and there is a nice fold at the bottom left corner of the tailgate.

I'd be paranoid too, but State Farm usually lets you decide where you want to take it, so take it somewhere you trust and make sure it's thoroughly gone through. I bet you come out ahead, though you have to pay for it with hassle!

Oh yeah, and start shopping for which after market bumper you want. :peace:

Bald tires and Ice are a challenge. Seriously even the officer was like you need tires. They were so bald they didn't even hold snow pack. Not proud to see a young new soon to be mom riding around in such a dangerous vehicle in those conditions.

Sucks to have that happen, but by that logic I have a new 98 Durango with 201K miles on it.
