I can tell you firsthand, you always regret selling some of your rides, even though you justify it at the time. I have since learned and now follow a new rule, just keep buying new cars and don't sell any of the current ones.
The correct number of vehicles to own is a simple mathematical equation. X+1=vehicles needed. Where X=current number of vehicles owned.

I discovered this thread while I was still in my Raptor buying phase. I told myself I'd get rid of my Camaro after buying the Raptor. It's still here, and I've put 5k miles on it and still keeping up with the maintenance. I WFH, so most of those miles have just been to run errands, visit folks, and going on spirited drives.

I get grumpier every time I encounter a pothole or a road with more bumps and craters than the Moon, which seems like more and more pop up each day. But I love the looks, I love the agility, I love when I find an empty twisty road and push the handling to its limits. After the road ends, the smile fades away.

Meanwhile, in the Raptor or the OBS 7.3, it's all smiles, despite the 7.3 being slow as diesel gets. I love hearing the exhaust notes. Potholes don't ruin my experience, and it's just fun to know I can handle the crappiest roads. Sure, they don't handle like a sports car, but I'd rather have fun 90% of the time, rather 10%. And then there's the practicality aspect: being able to take folks on road trips and nobody is feeling like anchovies, picking and dropping off oversized items on Facebook Marketplace,

I guess I answered my own question, and need to convince myself to do something I've never done, selling a car. I don't know if I'll regret it and miss owning a sportscar - maybe switching my wheels to 18's from 20's will be enough to make normal driving enjoyable. Maybe my tastes in cars have narrowed down to trucks with V8s, and I should replace it with a single cab F-150 5.0 for when I want something that won't be hard to find parking with, but also have fun getting to my destination.

You know what's better than a raptor and a sports car?
Having a gen3 raptor and tuned 3.5eb f150. Lol.

I wish I didn't sell my f150. My employee was bugging me for months before I caved in and sold it. I wish I just kept it. Now I'm daily drive my 22 raptor. 15mpg ain't so bad vs my f150 with 16.7.. wish they made a 45 gal tank.

My wife fights me for the raptor every morningm, but I don't like driving her 16boxter.

The raptor is a perfect family car. Wife and 3 kids. It's perfect for family trips and hauling lumber and ,materials for my company projects. F the minivan. Been there, hated it.

My 2019 f150 with 190k miles had flawless engine (afaik based on engine oil analysis), so I know 30k a year I'm going to put on the Gen3, I'm gonna get my use out of it before I give it to my older kid when he turns 16. And get myself a gen5.

Having test drove gen1 and 2, gen3 is a true capable daily driver. It can be as comfortable as a Lexus, as sporty as a MDX type S(and faster), can tow a 26ft trailer for Glamping, go off roading. It's a smash the pot hole, jump the speed bump, wake your neighbor, pick your kids from school, cool dad, do it all machine.
