Crash protection removed from Raptor?

How many trucks have you engineered to pass crash tests?

You're making a huge @ssumption this is an issue, without a shred of evidence. There are a ton of differences between the Raptor and the regular F150 that probably make this unnecessary.

- Truck width
- Suspension
- Strengthened frame

I'm pretty sure I trust Ford to engineer a safe vehicle.

Same engineers, why were scabs changed in 2016

Your trust could be misplaced

Just because you don't care, don't pretend like OEMs always do the right thing all the time

Better idea, someone hit up Levine or Ford Performance and ask them

I have engineered 0 vehicles to pass crash tests. However, what I have done is worked in the automotive industry for the last 23 years, including 12 in a Ford assembly plant, where I worked on the assembly line and managed the various assembly areas where these types of parts are installed. As part of my current job (managing an automotive Tier 2 parts plant), I am constantly studying performance news, much of which centers around warranty/crash test performance. I have studied every piece of news that has come out regarding F15o crash test results, since I planned on buying one this year. Not claiming to be an expert, or an engineer, but I do have a lot of automotive experience to go on. I don't really need any of that experience, just some common sense, to know that the bar would likely protect my legs better than not having it. Again, just my preference, and I've seen enough people with their legs mangled from front end collisions to know that I would prefer that it not happen to me, and if a cheaper version of this truck has this feature, it should be included on a higher priced version.

Wouldn't the most obvious reason why these aren't on Raptors because it's an off-road truck with 35" tires which have to stuff into the 6" bulged fenders when fully using the 12" travel shocks in the front...

But most of you probably won't use the travel so maybe go get these bars and put them in yourself.

Exactly, I don't think people are confused about the why it's more the few that are assuming she'll be just as crash worthy as the regular screw F150

RPG has a bumper for you. Anyone that keeps that stock PoS on probably shouldn't be driving a Raptor anyways

I doubt anyone has removed one yet, but feel free to enlighten me as to the weight of the bumper on this generation.

I watched the video with the engineer showing off the rolling chassis and he said it's solid steel, looked fairly thick to me, but they didn't weight it.
