Just a thought. Those crash bars were put in place to correct a design flaw. It's quite possible (even probable) that the original flaw has been corrected in other ways, not necessarily as visible as those bars. I know I'm an optimist, but I honestly think it is more probable that the crash bars are not needed in this vehicle, rather than Ford purposely sneaking the bars out, hoping no one would notice. Removing a known safety feature would really open them up to lawsuits in future accidents.

Good point Kenny,

Any lawyers on here??? Draft a letter to Ford putting them on notice about a potential safety issue. If the 2018's come out with the bar, then we will know what happened.

Well thats a pretty dumb comment.

First of all, how can I possibly know if its a problem or not?
Nobody has crash tested it yet. But Ford would know.

Second, the courts protect stupid people the most!

Well I fixed the fuse becose I didn't want to crash now if ford recalls it they will pay me back. I didn't wait becose I didn't care I wanted to be safe. How dumb would it be to chance it? If I bought a new truck and it had a bad tire on it I'd pay for a new one.

Not sure why you guys are complaining... Lots of 2015+ F150 owners have cut/removed theirs to fit bigger 35" tires.

Even if Ford put crash bars in, there will be a bunch of Raptor owners cutting them to run 37s.

Does the nonexistent crash bars apply to the gen 1s as well? Has there been any data collected on the gen 1 raptors in regards to crash safety?
