When I was looking over my truck the other day I noticed this crack. Does anyone else’s truck have this? Or know what that plate is for / how serious this crack is? This on the passenger side a little to the left behind the front tire.

I took a picture of the plate on my 2010 Raptor for you, no it shouldn't be cracked! My guess would be maybe frame stress as it is pulled away from the frame and as you can see mine is flat against the frame. It may just be that it is just rusted and buckled and cracked from the rust. No idea what purpose the plate is for as it is just welded to the frame body in a few places and there is not one on the drivers side.

Thanks! I took a quick look and my driver side and it has one. Mines a 14. I wonder if I hit a bump a little hard on that side

Don't know where you live, but it looks like water and dirt got inside there and expanded and rotted (freezing). Shouldn't cost too much to get that taken care of.

Frame reinforcement would be my guess. I believe the 13/14’s had additional plating added to beef up the frame. Just my two cents, but I would look into having it repaired.
My 11 has the same plating, but like others have said, its flush with the frame.
Has the truck been hit on that side?
