I looked at mine, and it appears that a clear sleeve is now on the 2013's...

Mine has a clear sticker over the logo. Is that what you're talking about?

It looks to me that they simply made the label sticker larger to wrap around the chock body.
you still have to address the exposed areas, especially the lock ring in the front.
Remember: the chocks will be peppered by debris all the time and if there is salt spray corrosion will develop.

Yep! that is an improvement, the stickers goes much higher and wraps around which will no doubt give it more protection.

Yep! that is an improvement, the stickers goes much higher and wraps around which will no doubt give it more protection.

It is an improvement, but it doesn't address the issue with the front shocks having the perch retainer as steel resting on the aluminum shock body.

First thing I did was to spray everything down with HDMP, and every time I'm under there I touch up any area that has been worn off.
