Try CLR? just spray the rag and wipe where you need. see if that helps

Unfinished aluminum vs. salt. Salt wins. Our Fox's look nice when new with a brushed aluminum finish. They'd look better long term if powder coated or anodized by Fox when built.

Looks like the salty ocean air got to them. Try using wading polish by Eagle One. It will remove most of the corrosion then a good coat of wax, I recommend and use Driven to Perfection wax, then apply WD-40 liberally. Apply the WD-40 every so often and after every time it gets wet.

Try an industrial strength CLR. like one from home improvment stores not from a grocery store

I have somewhat unusual methods of detailing, as I use to be a professional detailer, but try WD40 and rub it with Neverdull. If I remember, Neverdull is the pre-soaked cotten that u tear little pieces off and polish whatever u need to polish. Try using the WD40 to assist the Neverdull in polishing them up. If not, I'll try to come up with another crazy idea.

Looks like you may have to do the CLR or similar product and some fine steelwool after cleaned wax them as Fox recommends. The Amsoil HD protectant is a thicker wax to help protect them. And by the shots you may want liberally spray the springs and frame while you are at it...

I've had very good luck with Corrosion X. Just spray it on once in a while. I usually do it every oil change. I haven't gotten into the road salt yet but it's been doing a great job on my aluminum fishing reals for many years.
