Hey guys,

As my KO2s are approaching the end of their life, I've been on a quest to replace them with something more friendly for urban driving on highways/cities and unpaved uneven roads, unpatched potholes etc. I've read the KO2s fall behind in wet road conditions.

I don't really have any other experience with other tires in this category, so I don't know where these excel in comparison to others, or what I could be missing out.

I'm really drawn to the Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT. Seems to be a great on-road tire that can handle light off-roading, is quiet, and performs well in wet conditions. This tire has been covered in a few threads - most people seem to like it, some claim it's better for their use cases than a KO2.

They've recently released the Cooper Discoverer Stronghold AT, meant to replace the aforementioned tire. This one has the benefit of having a 3PMSF rating, which the AT3 did not have. Same price too. The lower price than the KO2s is also attractive.

I'm curious if anyone has any experience with this new tire, whether on their Raptor or other vehicles.

Cooper has a TON of brands.
I know they are inexpensive, but they made the absolute worst set of tires I have owned in my life.
They were Mastercrafts made by Cooper and were just junk.
I know there are a good amount of Cooper fans, and I have owned some others years past; but the Mastercrafts and totally $hi++y excuses for not warranting them convinced me to never ever consider anything that Cooper makes again.
Wish you the best if you go with them, just sharing my own experience...rant over (for now)

It's still an A/T , so no miracle on wet roads , as BF...

I had the Cooper Discover AT3 XLT on my Power Wagon, and they were a good tire. I can’t speak of how long they will last as I ended up trading the Power Wagon for the Raptor about a year after buying the tires.

I recently swapped out the factory tires on my TRX for the General Grabber A/Tx. After a 1,700 mile hunting trip, I was very pleased with how quiet they are, and how they cleared out mud for an A/T. I haven’t really ran any rain with these tires, but the reviews I saw were pretty positive for the tire. It might be something for you to consider?

I've had them on my 3rd gen for about 10k miles.
Im also in the DFW and they're handled the weather conditions ( 99% sun) out here with no problem.
I have no experience with them in the snow but they're stable in rain, smooth on the highways and very lightweight for a 37"
