Considering trading 18 for a 14

Basically you are trading down from a financial standpoint so if your trade in ($49k) is worth more than truck you plan to purchase ($43k) I believe you do not pay any tax. Not sure regarding state tax though if you have that. If it was the other way around you would pay taxes on the 6k difference if you were to trade up.

Well, im going to go check out that 14 scab on Friday. Looks pristine from the pics but is there anything I should look out for in particular?

I'd check the steering rack. Look for signs of oil on the bellows covering the inner tie rods.

I'd also confirm the climate control system works- mainly that it goes from recirculate to outdoor air properly. That's an expensive fix when the recirc door fails, dash has to come out.

Only other things I can think of as "common" issues are water leaks from the rear high mounted stoplight and/or the satellite antenna on the roof.

There's just not many failure prone points on a 2014 6.2L F150.

This 14 is also right in the neighborhood of where the supercab is so im also going to check it out tomorrow. From what I can tell its a Roush supercharged? Whats a fair price for that? and is there anything special to check out on the super charged trucks

How and where do you check the recirc door? I think mine might be broken and how much is it to fix?

Sell private,dealers suck...you can get almost as much as a dealer will sell your 2018 for....THEN go deal on your 2014.
I sold my 2010 Tacoma 4x4 to help pay for my Raptor...and I'm so glad the dealers screwed me around...otherwise I might be in a new Tacoma instead of my Gen1 Raptor...long story short,my Tacoma was MINT,LOADED and 55K...new one $40K...mine had resale value in the $18-24K range...they made it sound like they were HELPING me with their $14K trade in offer on a new one...Go to another dealer,they really wanted my business and offered me $14,700! I put ad on CL sold it in 2 days to 1st person who looked at it for $22,750....$8K more than dealer....
Oh,did I mention Dealers SUCK..?

I have a 2013 Taco 4x4 TXPro package 28K.A dealer offered me $19K for trade in value.I'm going to see what a private sale could get me.

Clearly insane. I've been told for 2 years how superior the Gen 2 trucks are.

Of course I've also heard Trump is a traitor and a Russian agent for the last 2 years as well.
