Thanks, I am aware of the importance of gapping but I would recommend that you pull the plugs and inspect the ground strap, base ring, and electrode to more accurately determine the correct heat range and plug gapping than just using a generic number that someone threw out.

It is actually based solely on misfires. This .025 was recommended to stop misfires.

What’s the matter, can’t think of any actual threads in which you are contributing or helping? I didn’t think so.

Funny because:

For the thousandth time. I have a gen 1.... specifically bought it because of the ecoboost horror stories which ironically are happening in this ecoboost now too. I chose to spend my money wisely, and did not want to waste time with it always in service. The leaking oil pan fiasco, as well as the number of misfire complaints is alarming in itself.

So in another thread, you lie about owning a Raptor, and proclaim you avoided the newer one due to problems, but in this thread you profess expertise in the platform.

hmm...

and just in case you forgot:

Point to your helpful “how to” threads where you illustrate an install.
Link to a thread you began detailing a modification or routine maintenance
Illustrate your actual reason for even posting into threads where you have not only no expertise, but no vested interest - since you don’t even own a Raptor or ecoboost.

The rest of us here -can- do this. We’ve actually tried to make this forum worthwhile and invested in it, all the while you come here to do nothing but **** on threads with your vile trolling.

Did you miss the point where I researched the ecoboost and determined it was not a wise purchase? I feel bad that smurf can’t read and comprehend.

For the people that actually own a Gen 2 Raptor. I discovered my coolant temperature issue. It turned out to be the stock thermostat. When I removed it, I noticed a little sand like material on it. Where did it come from? I have no clue because the coolant was factory. Anyway, I replaced the stock thermostat which was running 210 on idle, 222 on interstate, and up to 240 on very hard acceleration with a thermostat for the 2.7 Ecoboost. The 2.7 thermostat is rated at 188F and the Raptor stock thermostat is rated at 190F. Now my temperatures range from 190ishF on idle, high 190’s on cruise, and below 210 on full out throttle.

Curious about that sand material - maybe causing the Tstat to stick?

I see what you did there, by saying i cannot read and comprehend, while at the same time, not reading and comprehending. Well done!

I see you haven’t revived the sasquatch78 account since I outed you too.

I have a colder thermostat coming this week. I'll keep an eye out and post pics if there is sand.

You are the one that owns it, so...

Nope. but at least we know you like the new sasquatch’s posts, just like you like posts when any 2017+ owner has a problem with their truck

Hell, you even like the post where YOU admit to YOURSELF you don’t even own a Raptor:

That’s telling.

You likely have a very advanced case of OCD, and you’re definitely fixated on all things ecoboost, Guy, nassty and now me. That, and you are plainly, stark raving paranoid.

You’re so fixated on misleading people here, you can no longer keep your alter ego’s posts straight!

I could go on, but it’s not like I need to convince any current FRF users. We know you’re the same sasquatch77, mcnawsty, mgd and yes, sasquatch78 too.

You’ve managed to cultivate quite a little reputation for yourself here, and it’s not a good one.
