Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

Wonder it any one has taken apart both sides. I could see fronts being different internally if the 4 corner weight is different, but rears I don't see why they would be.

Question remains. Why are they priced differently if so that's different is sticker? Hmmm
I talked to someone who rebuilds shocks and they told me all the shims measured the same. I have two right front shocks on my truck because of price reasons. No noticeable difference in ride quality or ride height compared to when I had the original shocks on. The only difference I can tell with the fronts is the spring perch comes clocked 180 degrees different, but that’s easy to change.

My theory on price is that their parts portal runs some sort of background task that adjusts price based off volume. Most the ford parts websites appear to be skins of some sort. I doubt a whole lot of shocks are getting ordered online so it wouldn’t take much to skew the price if it’s some automated price adjustment system.
