Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

This sounds like a call ford thing. That all looks like ********. That dealership is useless. That first image looks like a warranty for motorcraft parts that are purchased standalone. Like if you bought that shock, which isn’t what’s on the truck anyway, new it would be covered for two years regardless of age of truck. But your shocks are OE and the truck is within bumper to bumper. The second image looks like a check to see if something is covered under a services contract, which doesn’t matter because this is about warranty.

Yea we had a long chat, and we went over pretty much what you pointed out here. Ended up they admitted fault and are replacing them under factory warranty. but they are on back order apparently...

Forget about all the semantics with when it was first in and what not. The real problem is bumper to bumper is 3 years/36k miles. Look through all your warranty documentation and see if you can find a single thing about shocks. It is not legal for there to be limitations that are not disclosed to you.

Who cares if it’s within bumper to bumper? If it was out that’s one thing… but it’s not. It could be at 35k miles and still get fixed if you brought it in that day.

Bumper to bumper does not cover everything. Your only hope is they made a mistake or you show them you first complained about the problem when still under warranty.

My dude read your warranty and the thread. All is good and they are replacing the stuff because the shock clunk covered under bumper to bumper.

I just purchased a 2023 37PP with 580 miles on it now. I currently feel the "thumping" feeling in the steering wheel and floor. It's currently at the dealer. I took the two main techs and shop foreman on a test ride, and they all felt the thumping. The tech said he posted this issue on their tech line and waiting to see if anyone has some input before taking things apart. I told him I believe it's the suspension/shocks. I will call them Monday and follow up.

I have noticed that it seems to start when the truck is driven for a bit/warmed up (maybe suspension cycling heat). I feel it when taking off from a complete stop, coming to a stop and when the suspension cycles up from a nice smooth dip.

Update 08/22/23: tech ordered a new lower steering shaft. I will send another update once installed.

I had my shocks diagnosed back in March. the determined the rears are bad but there is no ETA. Ford Exec Customer service Tarita Johnson has been following up and looking to expedite the shocks to the dealer. I do believe all 4 need to be replaced as they all feel the same but waiting on better ETA before I got back and pay another Uber ride 30 min away
