Interesting, they replaced both my rear shocks and it’s worse if anything. So Ford sent your dealer a work aid to tell them what to do? There work order is week the tech was vague as to what they actually did. Appreciate the info I’m glad it’s improved for you

I'm just wondering: could it be shocks were under-pressurized from factory (I know it happens to King shocks a lot) and that sound is actually from cavitation?

I have a suspicion because first thing i noticed how much better truck felt on the road. Before it was mushy, very bouncy and had a nasty body roll around corners; not feels much better.

For some reasons they had to call the “hotline” on both suspension and the other issue.

My truck is actually at the dealership. I was told on the phone they ordered new shock mount bolts and (lower ball joints- i need to confirm this part) as per a technical service bulletin. Either Sat morning Monday i will have more information and i will share.

Truck also developed a check engine light and rough idle at low rpm. My scanner showed p008a low fuel pressure. The dealer has been in contact with Ford and have a fix for it, however the service advisor need more info to explain to me. More on that later.
can you get the TSB number? i'm taking mine in tomorrow for the fender paint issue. would love to bring this up again as this is a dif dealer.

My dealership ruled out new bolts and found a bad rear shock which solved the noise from rear.

I do not have a certain explanation on the tsb they mentioned earlier. Frankly after 3 service advisors i feel like these people are clueless.

Dealership had mine for two weeks....service manager was cool and totally agreed the sound doesn't seem like something Ford should say is 'normal' but that is just what they did. Not exactly sure what I'm going to do...maybe calling Accutune and see if they will open them up and take a look at my expense. It's my right front coilover and both rears...

Just out of curiosity, how many people have checked various hardware torques, nitrogen in the shocks, etc?

had a new service advisor today. asked her to look for a TSB but she couldnt find one. she did order two new rear wheel well trim pieces without hesitation as the finish is coming off. i have a feeling i will be able to get the shocks replaced by working with her, but now that its getting warmer out demonstrating the clunk will def be more challenging
