had a new service advisor today. asked her to look for a TSB but she couldnt find one. she did order two new rear wheel well trim pieces without hesitation as the finish is coming off. i have a feeling i will be able to get the shocks replaced by working with her, but now that its getting warmer out demonstrating the clunk will def be more challenging
Your clunk changes with temperature? As in as the shocks heat up it reduces or goes away?

i've noticed it's way worse when temperatures are sub freezing. it's still there when warm, but not as noisy
Shocks will certainly be stiffer with cold fluid.

Do you notice the clunk when the truck’s weight is more balanced (as in coasting/cruising) vs on the throttle or the brakes?

Wash board type chop? Single bigger square holes? Etc.

It's over small bumps/cracks in the road typically. I hear a popping noise and you can feel it in the floorboard/pedal box. It is a lot more noticeable at lower speeds, but you can tell its there on the highway if you're somewhat OCD like I am and are looking for it. I haven't noticed it under throttle/braking or when pushing the truck off-road

I have a gen 1, so keep in mind that a lot has changed but a lot of the concepts haven’t.

When I had the stock shocks, I felt something that sounds a lot like the same thing you are describing. Felt like something was loose. I would feel this over wash board type chop, mostly offroad, and I would feel it in the floorboard. Once I switched to aftermarket shocks I never felt it again.

My truck was bottom perch with geiser coils and mid perch with stock coils. Felt it with both setups. I never checked the nitrogen in the stockers and that may have been an issue. I more or less assumed it had to either be the rubber bushings or the way the internal bypass worked.

Mine was same as yours. It was just the front right, and the dealer ordered new shock and mounting hardware. They found the stock one loose on tear down. Installed new shock, made sure mounts were tight fit, and used proper torque. Problem solved.

The weird part on mine is that I checked torque before each off road event I went to, about every other month. Could have been the bushings that didn’t fit all that well.

Glad yours gotten taken care.

has anyone tried plugging in a live valve 3.0 from a gen2 truck? Does the computer work with it?

I agree, more pronounced when cold for sure.
74 degrees today in Md and took my 21 to the dealer and had the service manager drive with me in the passenger seat. He drove across the street to a service road to an area where there are storage bldgs. He noticed it right away. I asked him if this was normal, he said definitely not. Went back to the dealer and he wrote up a ticket. Will be taking it in April 11th which is the same day I am having a defective windshield replaced. Yes true story. Also rear left fender flare over wheel well had to be repainted due to the finish peeling off. @#$% This is my 4th Raptor and first one I have had any problems with. I am very dissapointed to say the least.
All this under 500 miles. (If this was not my 4th one and I was 10 years younger I would want to beat someones brains in right now)
At the end of the day I am grateful for being able to afford a truck like this and live in the USA. I will keep everyone posted on what happens with the noise up front.
