wel...... takes about 10 min to get it out. takes about half a hour to put a new boot on... If you know your CV joints are still good, swap the boot and get some new grease... no point in throwing away your money. I got 4 pairs of HD rubber boots (not from ford or motorcraft) for 80 bucks.... that's 8 cv boots i can repair.... plus i always keep em in my truck now along with my tools if i am on a trail.... If you got new grease, tools, jack.... it can be done on the trail without getting stranded in 2wd if you cant continue and need 4wd....

yea i'm not trying to spend too much money right now haha gotta make a long haul to the TRR plus buy furniture and all that good stuff for the new house.

so where did you get your boots from alex i need to get some to keep on hand... i hardly ever use 4X4 i just engage it once in a while out in the dirt to keep it lubed up and working. but there must have been a shit ton of grease in the boots cause it went EVERYWHERE lol

My wife works at oriely auto parts and picked me up two sets of boots that comes with grease clamps and snap rings ill get te part number off the box and post it up hen I get home so if there's a orielys near you then you can go get a set they're not upper heavy duty but I looked at those and the motor raft ones that are OEM and they're thicker
