Yea did it yesterday took about 2 hours cause I took my time nice and slow and really paid attention to detail on how to do it so I can get familiar with it and all it's rather easy took me about 15 minutes to pull the cv axle out and another 45 to an hour to change the boots and all. The inner boot was the one that was torn but I went ahead and switched em both out since I had it off anyways may as well. And took it out in some mud after and it worked great no issues at all

great! no slippage issues or anything with the boot moving around? i dont understand how ford can openly say theres no way to replace the CV boot when theres this kit right here?! doesnt seem right IMO... yeah i figured for $40 i could throw them on as extra protection and at the very least they'll look cool lol plus being out here in cali i figured anything to keep heat and sand etc out of the creases the better they'll be. but i have to say to you and your wife THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for finding and posting up the part number and letting me know how it worked out... its members on forums like you that keeps me coming back to this forum over any other... thanks again and if we ever meet i owe you a beer or two!

Yea I'm thinkin I might get me some too just for that extra protection. It's not a problem at all like I said she's a merchandiser at orielys so I get all sort of parts and stuff for cheap and if I ever need anything I just text her what I need an she brings it home haha it's like
My own personal auto parts store :peace:

No slipping leaking or anything it was a piece of cake. But cleaning the old grease off was a pain haha went through 5 bottles of parts cleaner/degreaser but they're super smooth now!!

I'm like you I come back to this forum for the great advice everyone has and the joking around makes it less serious and relaxing no one makes offers stupid for asking simple questions cause not everyone is a mechanic haha I'm just really happy there's a place like this where no Matter where you are in the world you can come together here ad talk about your truck or whatever you want haha..

You might see me around SoCal! I was
Born as raised in long beach,CA and I pretty much grew up around desert racing and trucks Barstow will always be my second home haha
