I did Ceramic Pro Gold on mine and my wife's X5, and I also added Kavaca paint protection film to hers. I did not do PPF on the truck because it sits higher and so far, have had no chips and have been pelted by a cement truck. it makes a HUGE difference.......... The vehicles clean up super easy, always look awesome, and I just use a blower to dry them off.... With all that said, I will do every new vehicle the same way and am hoping to get a new 911, and when I do, I will do Ceramic Gold and have it completely covered in PPF.
ONE HUGE PIECE OF ADVICE....... When you get your vehicle back from being coated (assuming you do not PPF the whole thing), DO NOT DRIVE IT.... Park it in the garage for the next week and a half to 2 weeks......... Since I did both vehicles back to back and the truck first, we had to drive mine during lovebug season here in Florida. So, I had to power wash mine a few times to ensure I got the bugs off of the paint. IMO, this downgraded (damaged) the Ceramic, but I had no choice..... When I blow off the truck, it takes a lot more to get the water off, as compared with my wifes car..... So, yes... I highly recommend it, but park it in the garage for at least a week and preferably 2 before you drive it.

Mine was coated with OptiCoat Pro + 2 days after I took delivery, so paint correction was minimal. I even asked the dealer not to wash the truck and left the transport film in place.

This was the 1st time I've used ceramic, but as others have said I will do it on every car I buy moving forward. I can't believe A) how much easier it is to wash, and B) how much longer it stays clean. As good as those 2 benefits are, the paint still looks incredible 15 months later.

I should also mention that you can do the wrap yourself with the precut kits. I had put a precut kit on my BMW M3 years ago and it just takes time and patience

Yes a power washer will degrade it somewhat from what I was told by the detailer, he had also mentioned that going through the standard car wash will also cause it to degrade some.
If you use a power washer you should use a 40 degree tip and not get too close. WD40 on a towel applied to the bugs splats will help remove them, just check with the manufacture first

You can spend a ton more but this works great. Really good reviews too:

And this puts out amazing foam or you can just use it as normal car wash:

Here’s a good review of why the Adams Shampoo is a great choice:

Again thanks for the links, I was looking at hose end foam cannons and ones for a power washer on Chemical Guys and Groits Garage and you can spent $50-$125 for one which ic a little high in my opinion. The only thing I was told about using the power washer model is that it used a lot more soap then the hose mounted model but it also provided more foam. Soap is cheap so I`d rather have more foam since I don't move as fast as I used to.

I just need to treat the plastic next because we all know that the honeycomb grill is time consuming to clean and another forum member posted that it's life changing once you coat it

I have a EGO electric leaf blower that I use after I wash it and there is hardly any water left on it especially getting rid of the water from inside the mirrors and grill. Like a fool I went and bought a drying towel that absorbs 5 gallons of water thinking bigger is better, little did I realize one 16x16 towel would have been enough. Here is the link to the towel, I ended up buying it on amazon for the same price

Glad I did it but not worth the money. I am however glad I wrapped it. Already saved the paint multiple times from idiotic door dings and scrapes from bushes and trees. If I had it to do all over I'd still wrap it with Xpel ultimate plus but instead of ceramic coating on top of that I'd just use the Xpel "Ceramic Boost" product. It's 20.00, spray on wipe off ceramicish coating every 6 months.
That seems like a perfect combination of PPF and using the Ceramic Boost on top of it, once again it all goes with what suits your needs and budget. Did you do a full wrap? What product did you use and if you don't mind posting the cost, that seems to be the number one question readers ask, myself included. I posted this link so they can get an idea of what the materials would cost if they chose to do it themselves

That's the stuff.
Good to know, you mentioned $7k for a full wrap, it seems like that also varies like ceramic coating depending on your location. Are you going with the Stealth for the frosted look or the Ultimate Plus 10 for the blown away shine! It's nice that they have a picture of a Raptor on their site right under the Ultimate plus 10

UP10 baby! The guy in the video I posted gets $8k plus all travel expenses. So I figured $10k for him.
