I had opticoat pro plus installed and maintain it with optimum products. The car glows even when not washed for a month. Makes all the difference

Did Adams original ceramic spray a few weeks back on my Raptor and loved it. Super easy and should last about 6 mo. Paint prep isn’t tough, took maybe 5 hrs from filling my bucket to wiping off polish.

Coated my wife’s 2015 Yukon Denali with their new graphene ceramic product. This is the little bottle that costs about $75 right now. Took a bit longer cleaning and prepping since it’s just a bigger truck. Applying the ceramic took a big longer too since the spray uses a bigger applicator. Very simple process though and I’d never pay some shop $750-1000 to do this work. End result is killer. As I said in my thread, even it only holds up for 2 of the 7 years it claims to, that’ll be worth it because washes take no time and I don’t have to spend 2 hrs every few months doing all the paint protection like sealer and waxed now.

Some people just refuse to believe new technology even in paint protection. It is great that you were able to do it yourself and save the $$$ and as you said it is a killer look and protection, also not wasting time using wax and sealer that wears off in no time and does not provide anywhere near the protection of ceramic coating

I consider it cheap insurance on keeping the paint protected even if you have to pay for having it done. Hard water spots are a bitch to get rid of and ceramic puts a end to this and other issues like when you put down fresh mulch around your house and end up with mold spores sticking to your paint, not to mention the 3 bird feeders my wife has in the backyard and how severe the damage bird crap can cause to paint

The first bottle that I bought a few years back was for my Harley and it was just under $125. from Germany and at that time it was one of the best according to reviews but it was still in its infancy here in the states. I used it once on my bike and the look was amazing, so amazing that just about everyone I rode with at the time used what I had on their own bikes and that little bottle went a long way. Some were afraid it may damage the paint or create other unknown issues ( never an issue ) I have been sold on it ever since. I just use Gtechniq C2V3 Liquid Crystal spray detailer from time to time

My ceramic is free. Only caveat is the $7k wrap job.

I was taken aback when I was told what the cost of a complete wrap in Expel Stealth was going to cost, but if your really using your truck $7k is not so bad on a truck that is worth over $70k and the cheap insurance comes to mind. I know that you are aware of what it would cost to get a truck to look like it just rolled out of the factory after some off roading and daily driving with rocks being kicked up and whatever else gets thrown at you so it is worth it. Your truck is an investment so why not protect it?

I had the picked out what I wanted covered along with the input of my detailer based upon my needs and also what he has applied to other Raptors, pavement queens to all out off roaders.
Here is a link that you can put in your vehicle info and see what is offered in patterns that he can precut. it gives a lot of options

911Crazy I am looking forward to seeing your truck done in all of its glory once your build is done, which like most will never be done because of all of the new stuff constantly being released. I still have a half of a garage full of Jeep parts that were on for a short time or never even put on because of my ever changing mind

Agree on the investment part. On the plus side, it comes with a 10 year warranty. Probably down the line will either sell when it still will look brand new. Or rewrap, maybe in a different color.

Did the search and lots of posts but didn't get a feel for how strongly people feel about it.

Is this worth the money or is it just a "nice to have"?

Leaning towards doing it but could also use the money for some other fun upgrade!!

Glad I did it but not worth the money. I am however glad I wrapped it. Already saved the paint multiple times from idiotic door dings and scrapes from bushes and trees. If I had it to do all over I'd still wrap it with Xpel ultimate plus but instead of ceramic coating on top of that I'd just use the Xpel "Ceramic Boost" product. It's 20.00, spray on wipe off ceramicish coating every 6 months.
