I know they make engine parts out of it, but everything I have read in the past points to it being wrong for an engine block. It supposedly does not transfer heat well so cylinders would not cool. heavier than aluminum, a lot more expensive, does not machine easily like aluminum and the dust from machining is dangerous as in highly flammable if I remember right.

I gotta agree with justvettn on it not being a great idea to give Hennessey your money, just cause it's a different kit from the s/c ones doesn't mean you won't be having problems with it, they're just most likely going to be different problems than the s/c kit's, and I haven't done the most research into titanium blocks, and I said the best bet would be a sleeved aluminum block

Another idea that MIGHT be worthy of considering...

Selling what you've got and starting over.

Of course you'll need to find someone who can make what you want. If I were you I'd call Jay Leno as I'm sure he knows who can make what you want...

The block was already bored out and lined with ceramic so thats a done deal. I'm not throwing $100k out the window for a titanium pipe dream. Thats pretty ridiculous...

I appreciate the other suggestions but the engine rebuild is a non issue for me. It is what it is. Now it's all about lower weight aside from the engine and perhaps better aerodynamics. Thus better take off and cornering. Once she gets up around 3500Rpm, she has NO problem at all keeping up on a straight road.

And there seems to be some confusion over direction I've taken. I actually like what I've built and have had a great experience with Hennessey. Ran the shit out of this truck and have had NO problems what so ever. If it goes up in flames, I'll laugh, collect the insurance and then start over but until then, I'm all good with Hennessey.

I know someone mentioned it once but i'll mention it again. What about re gearing? Dont know if you are running stock 4.10s or if you changed that out as well. I am running 5.13s front and rear and its STUPID how quick it is off the line. I did mine due to tire sizes and the gears with 35s is more of a hook up problem with 37s it helps keep it manageable.

This thread may help take some of the math out for you as I had some questions when picking mine.
