ok, I have a code "can get the code in a minute". so they should be set and not making the noise?
You will still have a noise at cold soak. By disconnecting the phasers you are just disconnecting the way oil is fed to and from the phaser. I’d pull up the diagram but my ford system has been down all day. It explains the logic, and shows the oiling diagram to and from.

I’d not recommend it, being you are not physically locking or limiting the phasers. You’d be better of pre oiling and building pressure

Thanks. i'm thinking my noise is transmission related as it makes the noise every time i shift from 1-2 in manual mode as well as cold start.

according to parts list, my cams are not getting replaced.

But why would one get the cams replaced if you have phaser issues?
No clue, just spoke to a few people who have them on their list from ford service. I have a clue as to why but speculation.

Looks like I can be added to the list of cam phaser replacement recipients. They are saying that my parts should be in at the end of July, beginning of August. Is there a list going for sunroof track replacements, I am getting one of those too?

Sorry to hear. Make sure you add to the cam phaser poll thread.

Has anyone narrowed down the build dates or build locations of Raptors with Cam Phaser issues?
Mine was either a late December 17 or January 2018 build. I can't recall but can look it up.
