I took mine in today it has same problem at 26k this is first time though the service guy says all 3.5 eco boost engines have same issues !

Typical service advisor. They know nothing; their job is simply to write up the customer concern for the technician as accurately as possible. Unfortunately that rarely seems to happen, since most either know nothing or try and diagnose issues from their desk.

This issue does not affect "all 3.5 Ecoboost engines". Only 2017 to mid year built 2018 F-150 engines are possible candidates to experience the concern, but it's far from affecting all engines as the "service guy" told you.

There is nothing "going on". The original phasers on some 2017/2018 models can exhibit a failure mode that results in a noise on a cold start. Repeat issues would have only affected vehicles that experienced an issue early on and had the phasers replaced with the same original parts instead of the revised parts. The revised/updated parts have been out for some time now; if you have a noise concern there is no reason not to have it corrected by a dealer.

A cam phaser noise concern on a cold start is just that; a noise concern. It has nothing to do with "engine failures" or "timing belt slack". It has no detrimental effect on engine durability or reliability. Wherever you heard that, its 100% wrong.

It isn't a "rough start"; it's a momentary noise on cold starts. It's a day and a half worth of labor at most to repair. Why did they have your truck at the dealer for a month and a half? Dealers have been instructed to only take the vehicle in once parts arrive.
I am only tell you what my experience has been with the ****** dealer I purchased the vehicle from. Second time around the only had the vehicle for a week. Took time to get Ford to approve the fix according to them.

Once again..what is a "rough start up issue"? Is is the same noise concern you experienced previously? The re-designed cam phasers have been out for quite a while; when did the dealer perform the most recent repair?
Again this was well after April. Thinking sometime between July thru September. As before the engine sounds like a diesel on startup for a seconds. After it was fixed there was no cold start knocking sound. Now this is starting to redevelop.

I lurk around. Honestly use my truck as daily

Sorry guys . Never on here unless I have an issue trying to resolve.
Sorry, you aren't on here unless trying to resolve an issue? But this is the "3rd time" you've had the same problem and first post?
There has been a pattern of this before, usually it's the same person.
Maybe I'm wrong...

I have no idea what u are referring to. First go around I found this thread or one similar referring to the issue I was having. I printed out the pages that referenced what other had done and presented them to the service manager telling him this is my problem. They agreed. Replaces cams and tensioner pulley etc. Second go around I was really surprised have this happen again. When I spoke to dealer they told me there was newer parts to fix this issue. Was a pain to get Ford to agree to fix again even though it was making noises again. There was really no reason for me to post anything on here as reading on here you can find out pretty much everything you want to know.
My post today was should I just move on or has this been resolved with newer parts? Next time I will just read all 141 pages of posts before I ask a question.

I purchased a 2019 802a Raptor on Presidents Day 2019 brand new. Loved that truck and still do.

After about 9.5 months it developed a "slapping sound" from the timing cover area.

I took it to the local dealership for its first service and an obvious diagnosis. From my experience as an automobile technician I believe a timing chain guide failed. So the chain itself would hit the cover and send shavings down into the oil pan.

Ford requested the filter be removed and cut in half to confirm the presence of metal shavings, which there were plenty of unfortunately.

Do to Ford being unable to supply parts in a timely manner i ended up surrendering the truck through the lemon law program.

Ford would not allow the service department to disassemble the engine for failure diagnosis, as they wanted to do it themselves i guess.

Just picked up a 2020 RAPTOR recently so everything is GREAT again.

100% stock with less than 5000 miles on the clock
