Got my build plate from Calder today, ordered on 8/25 delivered on 10/21. Probably lost me as a future customer.

I've never dealt with Raptor Embroidery but 8 weeks isn't a long wait for something custom made. Do you like your build plate? Focus on the positive and you'll be happier.
I've been waiting 4 months for a tailight for my mini

Do I like it? Meh...the SVT paint work is a little sloppy. It's alright I guess, I'm more upset about the 2 previous promises that it was shipping first thing Monday morning. Third times the charm I guess.

Glad you got yours, really do but what is hard to understand is why these are not being built in the order they were placed. I mean how does someone who ordered 2 months ago get his before guys who ordered theirs 6 months ago, just doesn't make business sense.

just an FYI, I actually received an email from Calder last night... I'll preface it by saying that anyone that owns a business can understand delays / issues, especially with custom products. the lone piece of advice I'd give to him is being honest and communicating with your customers will go a LONG way in making them happy and retaining them. It's a lot easier to ignore calls/texts/emails when you don't have good news for the person trying to contact you and it takes experience to realize that that's not the right way to run your business if you want to be successful.

Here's the email that I received... hopefully it's true and others will see their orders soon as well.

"I am so sorry for your wait time buddy. I don't like doing business this way but I haven't had a choice. I completely changed up my production process which took several weeks of experimenting with different paint companies and drying times. I perfected it a couple weeks ago but I've been busy with walk-in customers purchasing screen printed shirts and haven't had much time to work on build plates. I've already painted the SVT and I'm about to clear coat the plate. Wet sanding and buffing will have to wait until Monday so that the paint has time to fully cure. Your plate will be going out on Tuesday.
I really appreciate your patience.

After my build plate deals with him and his excuses he lost me to. I want a console cover, but will do without till I sit down and find someone else to do it.
Sucks tho, he has real talent at what he does
