Bring your sat phone and call for an extraction if your transportation gets crippled by a deer. Or find an h1 for sale !
Yea I usually carry a spot locator, plus a cb most people outside the city here have them. I'm just thinking worst case scenario to get home. The h1 would be cool, but wayy too big for where I go, hell the truck is just about too wide!

Thanks ntm ur spot on with my plan now. I just have to sell the big guy and the lights I have now so I can do this the right way. I've had a herd time finding pics on the lower bolts, are they on the frame or on the LCA bolts?

The reason I started with the battering ram was after seeing 2 different vehicles hit deer in front of me, then my buddies ranger getting totaled all between last january-march, not even the peak deer season here. My only goal with a bumper is being able to keep driving to get home, my hunting grounds are 80~mikes away and my hunting buddy is 33~miles, I just want something to take a hit that will get me back home. If its junk after its junk, and I didn't think about the bars being pushed into the radiator.

Some mount from the Front LCA bolts, other like us mount from the steering rack bolts. Both ways are a very secure way of mounting the front bumper on the lower half.

This is usually one of the first mods I do on most vehicles I get for the same exact reasons you're talking about. I grew up, live, and drive in the Texas hill country. Its not s question of if but when you're going to have one jump in front of you. The pictures are from hitting a deer just off center going about 65. It had just started raining, about 10 minutes, so I braked and turned as much as I could. I love it when people say "well just don't hit the deer" cause at the end of the day no matter how many lights you have or how many times you slow down in my neck of the woods its just going to happen if you live here long enough. @DrippinRaptor can attest to this I'm sure. Though head on full speed can usually be avoided, sometimes it can't. Gone are the days of ranch hand bumpers for me. Now I look for bumpers that will absorb as much force as possible while still giving me stock, or better, performance. At the end of the day I see them as disposable safeties. No one made anything for he Durango's but I limped that thing from Dripping Springs to my shop in Fredericksburg and I can attest that he raptor is built a thousand times better than it was. I'm getting Rogues rebel bumper if you're still looking for options.
