Broken deavers?

Anyone else have their deavers crack and fall apart? Three leafs on the driver side broke and fell off and one on the passenger side

Less then 3 years old

Never heard anything like that. The only complaints I have seen is that they tend to rust. Did you contact Deaver about it?

That's a first. Did you jump it really hard. Deaver will most likely offer you a replacement one. As @Oldfart said, contact Deaver, they are nice people. Let us know what happens.

When you installed the Deavers what did you do with replacing the factory bump stop on the frame?

Did you purchased an OEM replacement that works with Deavers like the Forged Off-road’s? Or did you get a full bump stop kit installed?

I have not contacted deaver yet.

I used sdhq bump stop pads.

No jumps or heavy towing

That picture raises more questions, but those springs look very rusted where they broke off.

I was just thinking the same thing, it looks like they broke off 3 years ago!

Yes, you can see the metal fatigue surrounded by more rust then actual metal. I think the op has a case for new deavers, if he decides to contact them. OP: suggest if you put new deavers on, that you use some sort of rust protectant on them, like fluid film or equivalent. Those could of been a bad batch though.

I used three cans of amsoil heavy duty metal protector before they were installed.

Wow. I've bent plenty of leaf springs over the years, I don't really remember seeing many that broke like that. Must have been a bad batch like Corona said. Chinese steel?
