Check the oil fill cap, if the underside is coated with gray crud, could be the head gasket.

If the mileage is correct I bet it's something minor.

did you smell the smoke??

we are all guessing, and the OP has no time for it..

could be oil, coolant, fuel or water.. who knows??

Oil leaking into the cylinder when parked? valve stem seal.. not exactly a cheap or easy repair.. head gasket, even worse...

better talk to a lawyer and check into giving it back, Id think.. im guessing its like 7 days, maybe 10, depending where you bought it..

If the only new element before it started smoking was a tank of gas from an untested source...... there's the problem.

"a guy I knew" once filled up a LA city van with diesel fuel rather than gasoline because the city's pump island hadn't had replacement stickers on the pumps since the Big War. The van went about a half mile before it started protesting..
I knew a guy that pulled into a small town station in mid west in dead of winter in his F250 Diesel and topped it up with about 10-15 gallons of Home Heating Oil not realizing it wasnt Diesel till he got few miles down road and started going up a hill...Blacked out everyone behind him and ran like s%&^ for 2 fillups till it got cleared out..thought id blown the engine..YEAH..that was young and dumb me.‍

Congratulations on the truck . I want to flip pages to find out the ending. Only because one of my ford trucks did this I put $5 on green coolant. Low mileage at highway speed on major highway rush hour a lot of smoke . Hope it’s something little let us know I’m biting my nails .
