Broken deavers?

Why is the center pin showing and not in the axle mount? This looks like a bad install that caused the issue. The leafs aren’t even centered in the mount. Wow!

I replaced my Gen 1 sacked out Deavers with Icons. Mine were rusted too but not to this extent. Wow

You need to look a little closer before you accuse anyone of a bad install.

The spring bolts are loose and the axle is dropped. You can see where the spring was touching the pad. There is no way the spring could be installed with the pin behind the perch because the axle would be too far forward.

There is not enough info. Yeah I see the loose washers. But was it left like that which I find hard to believe. Or was the picture taken when they were removing the leaf which he never said that they had a replacement.

OK, I take back my previous comments about the Deavers will outlast the life of your truck before rusting through!

Where do you live? I am glad I am in Texas, because after 2.5 years mine have very little surface rust.

Yes, you can see the metal fatigue surrounded by more rust then actual metal. I think the op has a case for new deavers, if he decides to contact them. OP: suggest if you put new deavers on, that you use some sort of rust protectant on them, like fluid film or equivalent. Those could of been a bad batch though.
