sweet....glad it worked out.....i missed the part of the thread where you said you got it back, until someone resurrected it this week. No way i would want a car back after it was stolen....i would just feel violated.

Yeah same, I had to do some legwork documenting all the damage and spending 3 hours going over the truck with some type of supervisor at Geico, just making sure they caught everything. It amounted to something like $45k of damage which was enough to total it in my state.

Congrats on the best outcome possible. Hard to argue with any visible damage on a "1 day" old truck.

Thanks man. They had me worried at first thinking I was gonna be stuck with it but I hounded the shit out of them daily and they finally gave in. The original damage quote by the adjuster was a comical $4100. A lot of room between $4100 and $45,000. I told them they need to get that adjuster some training haha.

I can't believe he came up with $4,100. The way repair prices are now you could hit that from someone farting real hard on your seats! Glad it worked out well for you. I know I would never want to see it again once it was stolen.

So, I got the bill for my recent attempted theft. $703. They replaced the wiring harness for the horn, the driver side door handle, the actual lock and repainted the small scratch they put in it. Only took them one day. Also, glad I had the $0 deductible on my Comp insurance.

Sorry that happened to ya, hope it's the last time.

Frodo, glad everything worked out. Out of curiosity, do you have pics of the interior after you got it back (with the seats removed)?

Thanks man. I don't have any photos handy at the moment. It was pretty rough though. They had pulled the dash apart and cut a bunch wiring harnesses under there trying to disable GPS and stuff. The carpet was all stained and had clearly been pissed on many times. The smell was unbearable.
