This is very common on late model F150s, and yes, the horn wire should be relocated/shielded to prevent such a thing.

This is an old thread, but wanted to comment about the original dealer. It sounds incredibly stupid to place the second key inside the vehicle period, not to mention failing to inform the customer that it's there. This can't be their standard policy can it?

When the stolen vehicle was returned to you, did it come with the second key. On a previously vehicle I bought, the dealership had lost the second key. There policy was that the guy who sold me the vehicle had to pay for the replacement, around $300, IIRC. Given that, I can easily imagine that a sales guy would lie about placing it the glove compartment, especially if he knew the vehicle was stolen and unlikely to be verified.

Pretty soon the Dems will just be giving all of them new Raptors so they won't get tired walking. That should help cut down on theft.

I had it back for about a month before insurance finally decided to total it and they paid it off. After my theft policy I was made whole thankfully.
