Any car with "PUSH TO START" can be started with a device through the OBD2 port... No fob required.

Good news, I do not have that.

The San Antonio police officer that came to do my report said they rarely see broken windows anymore. I guess they don't have to break anything because the locks are so easily defeated.

Did you ever say which hotel it was? I booked at Hampton Inn in San Antonio this weekend for a baseball tournament.
Probably take anything of value out of the truck and leave the doors unlocked

Hey man, it was a Country Inn & Suites at Medical Center, right off i-10. It looked pretty clean over there but apparently the crime is horrible.

Update for anyone that is curious, I got my insurance settlement this morning and the full truck was covered including taxes and registration fees, after my theft protection policy I will actually have a couple bucks left over. Thankful for insurance, but we'll see how much this is going to affect my rates.

Thanks for the heads up on the Country Inn, though we are staying elsewhere this weekend, I will keep that in my hip pocket if I should ever decide to have my truck disappeared.

I definitely would have preferred it not to happen, but if one really wanted it to happen, I think Southern Texas is your best bet. Apparently anything that isn't chained down grows legs there.

The Subaru dealer in Corpus Texas, puts those $25 wheel lock sets on every car they sell.

They were tired of new cars getting sold, and the tires gone the next day.
