I am about to change my brakes on my truck and I noticed what looks like to be a sensor on one of the caliper bolts? Does anybody know what's the best method on removing it? I'm guessing to use an open ended wrench? I included a pic, any help would be great.

It's not a sensor.

Believe it or not, it's a device related to NVH. (noise, vibration, harshness) Similar to the big counterweight hanging under the bed on a rubber mount.

Interesting..next question is if this thing is permanently attached? Wondering if I could just remove the bolt with an open ended wrench? My brakes started to squeal and I have 33k on my truck and have done a ton of offroading...so I'm assuming it's ready to get it's brakes changed. I have always changed the brakes on all my vehicles..so I would like to do it on this truck of course and upgrade the brake pads..calipers seem beefy as is, but the pads seem to wear quick.
