I picked up a Borla 40349 muffler but don't have the truck yet. Is it a direct replacement with the stock muffler? Same length? Weld in? My buddy welds and he'll install it for me but I need to know if I need to get a short section of pipe or any other parts. Thanks

I just did mine a few weeks ago....its a little shorter than stock so you will need some tube.......it fit perfect other than that and i love it!

I'm looking to replicate the Borla s type cat back exhaust without spending a $1000. Does the 40349 Borla swapped out for the stock one, while keeping the resonator, sound good?

How about drone, ?

I guess the difference is it's one in and 2 out compared to the Borla 2in 2out. Cat back S type.

How is the volumne ? Do you think it compares well with the S type for volume ?

Thanks!

Don't know how it compares to the S-type, but it's loud on start up, loud when you get on it, very mild when cruising with minimal drone between about 66-69mph. I'm very happy with it, especially for the $100 it cost me.

I accidently bought a Borla 40670 which is the same muffler but its 2.25 instead of 2.5 so needless to say its still sitting here. Trying to sell it on craigslist.
