Well I made a discovery and closer the loop later today, thanks to @Huck I decided to pop the hood and discovered that the windshield washer fluid lid was off. Hopefully that was it the fluid must have made it's way down and onto the shock. Does this seem possible the fluid was pink.

That would be great if thats it, all you can do now is clean off the shock and keep an eye on it, see if or how fast it comes back, fingures crossed that you found it.

If you're under warranty it should be replaced. I was on mid perch and both my front shocks started leaking. Ford replaced with no issues. When the rears started leaking at 50,000 they said the extended warranty doesn't cover them but they did offer me 50% off retail.

The shocks should of also been covered by the ESP plan, to many dealers ******** people, give the run around, mine does and did, so I got my 1,400 back and I'll repair it my self. here's a picture of the covered items, high lighted by my dealer when I first took the coverage.

For what it's worth I had a blown front shock replaced under warranty. They didn't care that it was set at mid-perch. In fact the shock was ordered before they looked at the truck. Just called service manager and told him one had blown.

Good luck.
