Where did you get the new motor? Any upgrades to it?

Bought the new motor from Lkq , it's supposedly out of a 2013 raptor with only 12 miles on it. No upgrades and going to de tune it and just take it easy for awhile. Working with a few companies now on prototype intake and custom tune

It's hard to say what it could be but sometimes there is a bad batch. California pump gas actually is not even 91 with all the additives. More like 89 according to AED (my old mustang tuner). Anyhow if you had some gas that had been sitting for a while and lost a couple octain, combined with a tune which leans it out to make more power, and a heavy load could cause premature detonation which could have caused it.

Considered it but to much$$$ and I need to be easier on this motor with those I will be on it non stop just to hear them!

I have the old motor sitting at the shop I will pull them Monday and see what they look like
