Having dealt with knock-retard on a new custom performance car, I make it a point to not use Shell high test. There is more computer timing retard with Shell than most all major brands in the south.

There is a Chevron station across the street from my housing division. I typically use their 93 octane

I tend to stick to Shell, 76, or Chevron. I've only put 91 octane since day 1, except what ever the dealer filled it up with.

Phillips 66, Conoco, or 76 non-ethanol 87. I've also recently been trying Archoil AR6200 fuel additive to see if it makes a difference.

87 from Racetrack, mainly because it's conveniently located. Otherwise 87 from somewhere else.

At 9.8:1 there shouldn't be much need to run higher octane than that, and at the end of the day you make the same power with lower octane (right up until you start pulling timing out for KR).
