Best / Recommended Octane

I run 87 most of the time but try to fill up with 93 on longer trips

Tuned for 93, that's what I run daily. I will switch to 87 this summer when we take our long trip.

87 for my ranger.

I ran 91 once with a 91 perf. Tune and it was awesome.

But at $5.61/gallon I ain't using 91. So 87 it is!

What type of gas do you use?

Have always been a believer of you get what you pay for. Seems to me that Arco/AMPM gas has always burned up quicker. A full tank would get me the equivalent of 3/4 tank with shell.

So I use Shell and will dip into Chevron if there's no Shell around.

What brand gas and octane do you guys use? How would you rate the trucks performance??

For those of you using 91 octane long term, have you seen any benefits?

Conoco 91 but didn't see much so using 87 now. Will avoid any Chevron owned place unless running on fumes.

I just started using Chevron Supreme, 93 octane. Only on my second tank. I had been using 87 octane. Right now I don't know if I am seeing any difference...

I primarily use ethanol free though. Usually just 87. Sometimes I'll go running 93 for a while when the prices are lower then normal but mostly just 87.

I try to run nothing but pure gas 91 octane, I use the same station same pump for all my gas when local. When I travel I try to shop at one of the major brands.

Here in AL we have Entec stations, & I run 87 Octane. I average 13.1 MPG. When traveling I find myself stopping at Pilot or Flying Js for fuel.
